“Polytech without limits”: foreign students helped birds on a frosty February

5 March 2026

On February 10th, Festivalny Park became the setting for a warm, yet frosty, environmental event. International students from the Pre-University Training and Career Guidance Department at the Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University held the event "Warmth in Every Wing," filling bird feeders for the park's feathered inhabitants.

February this year was harsh. Persistent frosts and snow cover deprive birds of their natural food sources. Recognizing this, our university's international students came up with an initiative to help the birds.

"For us, this isn't just an event," the participants shared. "Caring for nature and our smaller brothers is a universal language of kindness. We feel at home here and want to be part of this community, making our own small contribution. Looking at these little birds, you realize how important it is to support those who are going through hard times."
