Professor of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University is an honorary guest of the First International Forum in St. Petersburg

On May 12-16, Evgeny Ivanov, Professor, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, participated as an honorary guest at the opening ceremony and plenary session of the First St. Petersburg International Philological Forum "Russian Language, Cultural and Educational Sovereignty of Multinational Russia."

The Forum participants were welcomed by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Dmitrievich Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander.

Professor Evgeny Ivanov presented the following report - "Russian in the National Cultural Space of Belarus ", where he revealed the phenomenon of the multicultural function of the Russian language in Belarus, emphasizing its unique unifying role in the post-Soviet space.

As part of this Forum Professor Evgeny Ivanov held a number of meetings with leading philologists from the Russian Federation, as well as from Asian and African countries, during which he discussed the possibilities and prospects for international cooperation in the preparation of joint scientific and educational projects with Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University.
