Scientists of Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies have been working on research and development of new food products and equipment for food production as well as development and improvement of technologies of natural and chemical fibers production. About 40,000 specialists have been trained. 121 candidate and 15 doctoral theses were defended. More than 7,000 specialists have been trained at the Institute of Professional Development and Retraining. Moreover, the studies are carried out within the framework of state programs at various levels and thanks to the grants. The University annually performs about 20 researches, developments and technological works on request of various organizations, including foreign ones. For the last five years 158 University developments have been introduced into production. Among them there are production technologies of new kinds of soft drinks and vegetable canned food (including baby food), new kinds of cheese, products from grain, culinary products and others. A number of innovative technological and organizational solutions have been implemented in food industry and catering enterprises. Graduates of the University hold leading positions at the enterprises of the Republic of Belarus and abroad.
