Applying to belarusian higher education institutions

APPLYING TO INSTITUIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN BELARUS
(NON-VISA COUNTRIES)

To enter Belarusian institutions of higher education, foreign applicants from non-visa countries need to:

  • Prepare the following documents:
    • Certificates of education with transcripts and their notarized Russian translation*
    • A medical certificate confirming the state of your health (form 086/h) and its Russian translation*. Medical certificates are valid for up to 6 months.
    • HIV test results with Russian translation*. Medical certificates are valid for up to 6 months
    • A copy of your passport valid for the term of study, with Russian translation*
    • A copy of the birth certificate with Russian translation* — for underage students
    • 6 photos 3х4 cm
  • Come to Belarus to have your entry interview (mid-August – mid-October)
  • Submit your application to study (you do not have to fill it in beforehand — you can do it when you arrive) and other relevant documents
  • Pass the interview
  • Sign your education agreement
  • Pay your tuition fee
  • Go through the compulsory medical examination
  • Purchase your medical insurance policy (if necessary)
  • Receive your temporary registration for the duration of study

* if the documents are in a foreign language

APPLYING TO INSTITUIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN BELARUS
(VISA COUNTRIES)


A) In order to get invited to study in Belarus, you need to:

  • Submit your application and provide relevant supporting documents
  • Wait for the official decision after the documents provided have been examined by the university
  • Receive your invitation to study
  • Get your student visa in your local consulate of the Republic of Belarus

Please note! If your country does not have a diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Belarus, you can obtain a visa upon arrival at Minsk National Airport (at the Division for the Admission of Foreigners of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

B) After having arrived in the Republic of Belarus, applicants go through the following enrolment procedure:

  • Submit your application and provide the original copies of relevant documents
  • Pass the interview
  • Sign your education agreement
  • Pay the tuition fee
  • Wait for the administrative order on admission to be executed
  • Go through the compulsory medical examination
  • Purchase your medical insurance policy (if necessary)
  • Receive your temporary registration for the duration of study
