Belarusian National Technical University is actively developing its partnership with SatcoAcademic Trust Colleges

5 March 2026

From February 17 to 23, 2026, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted Maureen Meda, Director of Satco Academic Trust Colleges.

Satco Academic Trust Colleges became the first company in the Republic of Zimbabwe to receive accreditation from the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE), and since then, it has been actively recruiting African students to study abroad.

It is worth noting that this is not M.Meda's first visit to BNTU: since 2023, BNTU and the Republic of Belarus have become truly close and dear to her.

This time, M.Meda was accompanied by six Zimbabwean students to study in the preparatory department and then continue their studies in BNTU's specialties.

During this visit, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Aleksandrovich Nikolaychik met with M.Meda to discuss and adjust upcoming steps and prospects for cooperation. Also participating in the negotiations were Inna Vladimirovna Khatskevich, Head of the Department of International Marketing of Educational Services and International Student Relations; Natalia Alekseyevna Kondereshko, Head of the Preparatory Department of the Federal Migration Service; and Darya Dmitrievna Gladkaya, Specialist in the Federal Migration Service's Production Department.

During the meeting, the Belarusian side presented proposals for optimizing the 2026 admissions campaign and conducting an advertising campaign for BNTU in the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Incidentally, BNTU representatives annually participate in exhibitions in Zimbabwe. For example, in December 2025, a BNTU delegation participated in exhibitions in Bulawayo and Harare as part of the Days of Belarusian Education in Zimbabwe.

During the exhibition, BNTU employees presented the university's educational opportunities (training, summer/winter schools, and research potential). BNTU representatives paid special attention to areas of study and training programs relevant to Zimbabwean citizens: preparatory courses, Russian language courses, programs in Russian, and specialties taught in English.

BNTU places particular importance on actively developing its partnership with Satco Academic Trust Colleges to improve the selection process for applicants from the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Expanding this cooperation will help create new opportunities for Zimbabwean applicants and support their professional and career growth.
