Over 150 scientists from five countries discuss trends in modern electronics at BSU
The International Scientific Conference "Materials and Structures of Modern Electronics" is currently taking place at BSU (October 21 to 23). The event is organized in a combined in-person and remote format.
More than 150 scientists, researchers, and practicing experts from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, and China are participating in the conference. They represent BSU, BSUIR, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and other institutions.
The conference features five thematic sections. Their scope of discussion includes properties, diagnostics, and applications of semiconductor materials and device structures based on them; defect and impurity engineering; nanotechnologies, nanostructures, and quantum phenomena; as well as the social and environmental directions of modern electronics.
Special attention will also be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Nanoelectronics at the BSU Faculty of Physics. In particular, unique scientific research by the department's staff will be presented to the participants, along with insights into its prominent alumni and key achievements.
