From November 9 to November 15, 2022, the IX STUDENT OLYMPIAD "QUALITY MANAGEMENT", dedicated to the World Standards Day, was held at the Belarusian State Technological University (Minsk). Among six teams from three universities of the Republic of Belarus, Vitebsk State Technological University was represented by the team "Deming's Children 3.0".
The team included 3rd and 4th year students specializing in "Metrology, standardization and certification" of the VSTU: Matsuganov Dmitry Yurievich (C-22), Zapanenok Iulia Alexandrovna (C-22), Popova Angelina Alekseevna (C-22), Kravtsova Ekaterina Sergeevna ( С-21), Doroshkevich Anna Pavlovna (С-21).
The Olympiad included 3 stages: the preparation of a poster on the theme "Common vision for a better world" - the motto of the World Standards Day; preparation and release of the presentation "Smart University: a step into the future"; personal testing.
On November 10, 2022, in the online conference mode, the team of EI "VSTU" made a presentation "Smart University: a step into the future", which presents the experience of our university in training specialists for INDUSTRY 4.0, creating innovative developments. The videoconference speaker from the team is Ekaterina Kravtsova, an experienced participant in the Olympiad movement of the TRiT department.
On November 14, 2022, the participants underwent online personal testing on issues of various levels of complexity from the field of standardization and quality management.
According to the results of the Republican Student Olympiad, VSTU students showed excellent results:
• 1st degree diploma for team testing results;
• 2nd degree diploma for the development of a poster;
• diploma of the III degree for the development of the presentation and its release.
According to the overall results for all three stages of the Olympiad, the team "Deming Children 3.0" of EE "VSTU" won 2nd place.
