BSTU and TICT Launch New Era of Vocational Cooperation

17 February 2026

Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) hosted a high-level delegation from Yangier branch of Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (Uzbekistan) to scale their successful higher education synergy into the vocational sector.

Building on a foundation of long-standing academic cooperation, the parties pivoted their focus toward vocational training and mid-level technical expertise. The visit centered on aligning the curricula of BSTU-affiliated colleges with their Uzbek counterparts to meet the rising industrial demands of both nations.

A key highlight of the visit was a deep dive into Belarusian State College of Building Materials Industry. The Uzbek delegation praised the cutting-edge laboratory facilities and practical training models, identifying them as a benchmark for future joint initiatives.

The discussions outlined several high-impact cooperation channels, including:

  • Joint Vocational Programs: Developing integrated curricula for specialized technical roles.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Launching internships and short-term professional development courses for staff and students.
  • Strategic Roadmap: Formalizing the partnership through a comprehensive document to guide the implementation of upcoming projects.

This visit marks a significant milestone in Belarus-Uzbekistan relations, moving beyond theoretical education to build a robust framework for practical, industry-ready skills.
