Deutschsprachiger «Marathonlauf»-2023 an der FNJA

On April 28, the solemn closing ceremony of the professionally oriented marathon with international participation "Week of the German Language and Culture-2023" took place in the foyer of the assembly hall of the university.
At the beginning of the event, the dean of the German language faculty delivered a welcoming speech. Valentina Anatolyevna Shevtsova noted the main achievements of the German-language marathon this year: along with the traditional ones, new quizzes and competitions were organized and held, the number of participants in all professionally oriented events expanded significantly, comprising contestants from Brest to the Far East. This marathon gathered students from five Belarusian and nine Russian universities.
During the closing ceremony, a welcoming speech was given by a new active partner from the Kuban State University, Head of the Department of German Philology of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology of the Kuban State University, Professor Oleinik Marina Alekseevna. The Faculty of German Language and Minsk State Linguistic University are very pleased to expand successful international cooperation.
With international participation, a traditional phonetic competition was held, organized by teachers of the Department of Phonetics and Grammar of the German Language under the guidance of Associate Professor Natalia Albertovna Bogdanova. Among the winners are students of both our university and students of our partner universities. The annual grammar competition was also held in an international format. The organizers of the competition are teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of the German Language under the guidance of Associate Professor Elena Viktorovna Zuevskaya. Both Belarusian and Russian teams received diplomas of winners. A new event with international participation within the framework of the marathon is a competition of presentations on the grammar of the German language, which was organized by the senior teacher of the Department of Phonetics and Grammar of the German Language Bondarenko Elena Valerievna. The winners of the competition also represent different universities and that is very pleasing.
The International German Olympiad "Deutsch ohne Grenzen" gave students the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of the German language in all language aspects. The organizers of the Olympiad were the dean of the faculty Valentina Anatolyevna Shevtsova, senior teacher Natalya Gennadievna Shimanskaya, teachers Maria Vladimirovna Orlova, Daria Iosifovna Novik, Violetta Ivanovna Belchenko. There are winners of the Olympiad both among MSLU students and among our distinguished guests.
At the closing of the marathon, the teams also received prizes - the winners of university-wide events, including the quiz "Media Language" for 4th year students, organized by Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of the German Language Natalia Valerievna Kurbalenko. A new for the faculty quiz "German Phraseology and Paremiology", under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of the Second Foreign Language (German) Tatyana Vladimirovna Vnuk, united all experts in the phraseology of the German language. Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of the German Language Tatyana Gennadievna Borichevskaya read wonderful poems and spoke about the Literary Cafe event, the purpose of which is to popularize German poetry among students studying the German language.
The professionally oriented marathon of the "Week of German Language and Culture 2023" was the climax of all events held in German throughout the academic year. The student-favorite "MSLU debattiert" events, traditional German holidays, film screenings in German, country studies quests and quizzes were held in close cooperation with teachers, curators and student activists of the FGL.
Special gratitude is addressed to the teaching staff of the Faculty of the German Language. Thanks to their work, energy and professional skills, the most interesting events were held in all language aspects in German, in which 456 students from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation took part.
Also, our sincere gratitude to the rectorate of the Moscow State Linguistic University, represented by Rector Natalia Evgenievna Lapteva, for the prizes provided to the winners, and to the student trade union of the MSLU - many thanks for the very tasty and designer boxes of sweets for the winning teams, with German words printed on them.
Bright and memorable creative performances added a pleasant touch to the procedure of honoring the achievements of the faculty. Representatives of the vocal and dance groups of the faculty presented their creativity to the audience.
At the end of the German-speaking marathon, another pleasant surprise awaited the contenders - the most active competitors and the best teams received additional awards. Prudko Polina, 1st year student of FGL and Sokol Karina, 3rd year student of FGL, won in the Deutschmeister/in nomination. In the nomination Bester Teamgeist, the winners are the project "MSLU debattiert" and the student council team of the faculty.
The perfect conclusion for the event was the song “Together with FGL smile…”, dedicated to the faculty, which was performed by all the participants of the event.
