Congratulations! Listeners of the Confucius Institute of Mogilev State A.Kuleshov University have received their awards "For the best video" and "For active participation".
The IVth International video contest "Tourism + Chinese ", organized by the Center for Cooperation in the Field of the Chinese Language and its Culture under the supervision of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, has ended. The theme of this contest - "Share your travels in Chinese, inviting the world to a dialogue."
More than 500 people from 65 countries studying the Chinese language and Chinese culture took part in this contest.
Only 42 works were awarded at the end of this competition.
According to the results of the professional evaluation made by the jury members and online voting the work, which was presented by listeners of the Confucius Institute, Yulia Cherkasova and Sergey Spirin, "Treasures of Time: deciphering the intangible cultural heritage of Belarus" was the only one presented by Belarus, has won the nomination "For the best video". Their teacher-supervisor, Chang Likun, was awarded the "Best Teacher-Supervisor" award. The Confucius Institute of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University has once again been awarded the award "For Active Participation".
The winning work "Treasures of time: deciphering the intangible cultural heritage of Belarus" is a short travel film in Chinese. The authors present valuable exhibits of the Mogilev Ethnographic Museum in an accessible format of interactive riddles: ancient pennies, spider charms made of straw, a loom, a wheel for rolling linen, etc., introduce viewers to the ancient ceremonial holiday of Kolyada. The video, reflecting the warmth of soul, vividly demonstrates the traditional Belarusian culture and its way of life. This video combines cognitive and interactive content, conveying sincere friendship in the context of Chinese-Belarusian cultural exchange.
The awards received are not only a high assessment of the level of the Chinese language proficiency, intercultural communication and creative abilities of the students, but also a serious recognition of the Institute's success in teaching Chinese and cultural exchange.
In the future the Confucius Institute will continue to build bridges between the cultures of China and other countries, inspiring students to use Chinese to strengthen friendship between people, making it a link that unites the world and warms hearts.
