Results of the week of Chinese language and culture

From April 21 to April 27, the Chinese language week was held at the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, which ended with a gala concert in the assembly hall of MSLU.
Within the framework of the Chinese language week a number of competitions were held for students of general secondary education institutions: “Chinese into Russian translation competition for students of schools and gymnasiums” (nominations “Translation of a prose text about Chinese culture” / “Literary translation of a poem era of the Tang Dynasty”), photo contest “Chinese in words and phrases”, online quiz “Do you know everything about China?”, which were attended by schoolchildren from various cities of the Republic of Belarus. The intellectual game “What? Where? When? All you know About China” for students of general secondary education institutions, in which more than 10 teams from schools and gymnasiums in Minsk, Minsk region and Brest took part.
Also, within the framework of the Chinese language week at the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, a marathon "Chinese in 4 weeks" was organized, in which all groups 1, 2, 3 competed among themselves in various competitions and nominations (student Universiade in Chinese, competition for creating meme in Chinese, a competition for the best visualization of the faculty, a video clip competition and an intellectual game "What? Where? When? about China"). According to the results of the group tests, the winner groups of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd courses were determined. Also, the winners of the Olympiad were determined in the individual classification in Chinese at each of the courses.
On April 21, on the basis of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, with the support of the Confucius Institute of Moscow State Linguistic University, a competition of consecutive and simultaneous translation was held for the first time. The students of MSLU and BSU became the participants of the competition. There were two nominations in each competition: juniors and continuing. The students of the 1st-3rd year of the FCL&C became the juniors of the consecutive translation, and the students of the 4th-5th courses were the continuing ones. The juniors, who had just got acquainted with the synchronized booths, were the 4th year students, and the continuing ones were the 5th year students who had already studied the discipline.
On April 26, a master class "Life Hacks of Excellence" was held, where winners of translation competitions, graduates of the faculty, practicing translators shared the secrets of their success with students of the faculty.
On April 27, the photo contest "Miss Chinese" and "Mr. Chinese" was held, in which students of Faculty of Chinese Language and culture, Faculty of German Language and Faculty of Intercultural Communications took part.
Closing of the week of the Chinese language was held in the format of a festive concert, also timed to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the founding of the faculty. Within the framework of this event, the results of the academic year were summed up, the achievements and victories of students of the faculty in international and republican language, translation competitions, as well as their sports and creative achievements were named, awards were presented to the winners of competitions, for students of general secondary education institutions. The prizes were sponsored by the university administration, the Confucius Institute at Moscow State Linguistic University and the Chance Chinese Literature Publishing House!
Spectators (students and teachers of schools and gymnasiums of the Republic of Belarus, students of our and a number of other universities, parents and friends of students, graduates and teachers of the faculty) enjoyed the colorful show FCLC.io, where modern choreography was combined with traditional Chinese dances, Chinese speech and songs, as well as poems by Russian and Chinese poets.
Throughout the evening, voting was carried out for the vocal and dance performances.
