Lyceum students of the Belarusian State University won prizes at the Belarusian Physics Olympiad

Lyceum students of BSU took winning places on the open Belarusian Physics Olympiad for schoolchildren. In first place in “adult” group is 11th grader Roman Plaksenok. In second place is 11th grader Ekaterina Postnova. The students were trained by the deputy director Artyom Pivovarchik and Physics teacher Vladislav Klimashonok.
The second place in this category was also taken by 11 graders of Francysk Skoryna Polotsk State Gymnasium Denis Kakugin and 14th Gymnasium of Gomel Leonid Kuzmenkov. Oleg Lashkevich, an eleventh-grader of Gymnasium No. 14 in Gomel, won the third place.
The Olympiad included theoretical and experimental rounds. In the first one, participants solved three problems from different branches of physics. In the second, experiments were carried out with the processing of visual data and the use of computational methods.
The Olympiad was also held among schoolchildren aged 13-15. Here the winners were a tenth-grader of Gymnasium No. 41 in Minsk named after. Serebryany V.Kh. Mikhail Khursin and a ninth-grader of Gymnasium No. 1 named after. Academician E.F. Karsky city of Grodno Adrian Revkovsky. "Silver" was won by the ninth-graders of Gymnasium No. 41 in Minsk named after. Serebryany V. Kh. Yaroslav Pryatkin and tenth grader of the Mogilev State Regional Lyceum No. 1 Alina Polonskaya. "Bronze" at the tenth grader of the Gymnasium No. 1 named after. Academician E.F. Karsky city of Grodno Martin Lozovsky.
In total, about 100 schoolchildren from nine countries became participants in the Olympiad: Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. The competition was held from November 20 to 26 in a remote format.
The competition was organized by Belarusian State University, the Ministry of Education of Belarus, the Academy of Postgraduate Education and the National Institute of Education.
