International cooperation. Participation of VSMU in the 79th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists of Medical Universities “Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy”

On May 16-17, 2025, in Samarkand State Medical University the 79th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the University was held.

Students and young researchers from more than 40 higher medical educational establishments and research centers of China, Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan took part in the international scientific-practical conference.

At the conference his work on the topic “Kimmerle's anomaly: assessment of frequency, morphometric diversity and statistical indicators on the results of CT scan of the head and neck” was presented by the 2nd year student of the Faculty of Medicine Torop Artyom (supervisor - senior lecturer of the Department of Internal Medicine and Ultrasound Diagnostics FAT and PR Tolstaya S.D.).

Torop Artyom's scientific work at the section “Fundamental Medicine. Anatomy, OXTA, pathological anatomy, forensic medicine” took a honorable second place.
