MSLU continue to expand cooperation ties

On October 2, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan Republic to the Republic of Belarus, Ulvi Vagif Bakhshaliev, visited the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture of the Minsk State Linguistic University, which was opened on September 13, 2023 by the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages Kamal Abdullayev, representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Chargé d'Affaires of Azerbaijan in Belarus Nizami Rustamov.

During a meeting with the rector of MSLU N.E. Lapteva, the work plan of the Center in the 2023/2024 academic year was discussed, including the organization of cultural and educational events, scientific round tables dedicated to the celebration of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2024.

From October 5-6, 2023, the Rector of MSLU N.E. Lapteva took part in the II Forum of University Rectors of Belarus and Tajikistan.
Cooperation agreements were signed with the Tajik National University and the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda.

Finally, during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus, MSLU signed a Cooperation Agreement with the University of Cienfuegos and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Higher School of State and Government Personnel.

The rector of the University of Cienfuegos, Orquidea Urquiola Sanchez, held a meeting with students of the Faculty of Romance Languages of the Moscow State Linguistic University and answered questions about the education system and culture of the Republic of Cuba.

Rector of MSLU Natalya Evgenievna Lapteva presented the report “Directions for the development of cooperation between universities of Belarus and Cuba in the field of linguistic education” during the First Belarusian-Cuban Forum of Rectors.
