"Music Performing Arts: History, Theory, and Practice" – Topics Discussed at a Roundtable Discussion at the Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
On April 16, 2026, a roundtable discussion on current issues in musical performing arts was held at the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The event was organized by the Department of Music Performing Arts of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language, and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Faculty and graduate students from the Department of Music Pedagogy and Social Sciences and Humanities of the Academy of Music collaborated with the department.
The key topic of discussion was the multifaceted issue of "Music Performing Arts: History, Theory, and Practice." Leading experts participated in the roundtable discussion: Head of the Department, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor I.Yu. Onoshko; Candidates of Art History, Associate Professors O.S. Tsarik and V.V. Nevdakh; as well as department graduate students Liu Chenyu and Guo Peihao.
The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen scientific and creative ties between the Department of Music Performance and the Department of Music Education. Such events play an important role in the development of musical arts and science in the Republic of Belarus, facilitating knowledge exchange and stimulating further research.
