The scientific schools of our university are known far beyond the borders of Belarus and the CIS countries. Therefore, citizens of various countries study and improve their scientific potential in the master's and postgraduate programs at BSUT. Our university has established close ties with the Guangzhou Railway Vocational College, where our faculty members receive postgraduate training.

This week, representatives of the college, Liu Kangni, Head of the Department of Railway Transportation Education and Research, and He Hong, Head of the Department of Teaching and Research in Urban Railway Operations Management, visited the Department of Operations Management and Occupational Safety to deepen scientific and pedagogical cooperation. It should be noted that the department's cooperation with Chinese educational institutions has a long history, as the works of Drs. Tikhomirov and Pravdin were translated into Chinese in the last century.

A tour of the department's educational laboratories was conducted for Chinese colleagues, where students study the specifics of train traffic control.

Of particular interest was the large-scale physical layout of the railway, which includes 12 railway stations. The laboratory presents both modern equipment used on the Belarusian Railway, as well as existing historical exhibits – the key dependence and mechanical centralization of switches. Interestingly, the stations in the laboratory are named after scientists who have made significant contributions to operational science, which is an important part of educational work with students.

The Chinese colleagues also visited a modern digital laboratory that simulates the activities of the Transportation Management Center.

During the meeting, there was an active exchange of experience in teaching activities related to the organization of laboratory classes, course design, and practical training for students. The prospects for further cooperation in educational and scientific areas of work with students and the development of international relations were discussed.
