9 October 2026
On September 3, the 16th International Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition "Integrated Safety – 2026" kicked off in Kazan. Representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, led by Deputy Minister Dmitry Golubev, participated in the event.
Alexander Kurenkov, the Russian Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, visited the exhibition stand of the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
During the visit, Alexander Kurenkov was introduced to developments from the Belarusian emergency agency and the key areas of their practical application. The head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations examined the technical solutions and expressed interest in their potential use by fire and rescue units in the Russian Federation.
The exhibition took place from September 3 to 5 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center in Kazan. Around 230 organizations from Russia and abroad participated in the event. The display featured over 80 units of fire-rescue, aviation, and engineering equipment, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic systems. The business program included more than 30 international, scientific, and industry-specific events.
A central place in the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations' exposition was occupied by stands showcasing Belarusian-made gear, personal protective equipment, and firefighting tools. The display included both equipment already in service with emergency units and new developments.
Among these was a modernized firefighter's protective suit featuring improved ergonomics, a breathable membrane, and additional shock-absorbing inserts designed for use with compressed-air breathing apparatus. Also on display are examples of protective gear for fighting wildfires in natural ecosystems, as well as gear made from light-colored Belarusian fabric designed for use in hot climates.
The exhibition includes suits for emergency rescue operations, including sets featuring vests and footwear with integrated heating systems.
A new model of firefighter-rescuer helmet is also showcased, featuring enhanced durability and an external head-size adjustment mechanism. A soft armor insert has been developed for the helmet, providing protection against standard threats classified at levels Br1 and S2.
Another section of the exhibition focuses on technical systems for cooling the traction batteries of electric vehicles.
It is also worth noting that the business program included the 16th International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Monitoring, Modeling, and Forecasting of Hazardous Natural Phenomena and Emergency Situations," where Artem Morozov, Head of the Department of Fire and Rescue Equipment, delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of the leadership of the University of Civil Protection (Ministry of Emergency Situations).
