Dragon’s quest

20 February 2026

The "Chinese Festival" dedicated to the Chinese New Year was held at Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages. Nine teams and over 50 representatives from various BSUFL faculties participated in this vibrant event. The quest was organized by activists and the administration of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture. Students from the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture also acted as Chinese cultural figures who greeted participants during various challenges. The festival's locations represented Chinese culture: fortune telling with hieroglyphs, Chinese knotting, a Chinese lottery with dice, calligraphy, red envelopes, and much more. After completing all the challenges, representatives of each team received sweet prizes.

Young violinists from the People's Republic of China were a true highlight of the celebration. Together with Jing Zhu, Associate Professor of the Department of Chinese Language Theory and Practice, they performed national pieces on the violin and synthesizer, inspiring new emotions and hope that Chinese culture will continue to flourish at our university.

At the end of the event, all participants and spectators danced a flash mob from the Meihua Dance Theatre.
