Students of the preparatory department visited an interactive exhibition at the Minsk Metro History Museum. A photo exhibit and two interactive exhibition halls introduced the audience to the history of the construction, opening, and development of the Minsk metro, from the first piles of the future Park Chelyuskintsev station in 1977 to today's promising plans.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to see models of the first electric trains, symbolic station keys, the first control panels, souvenir tokens, a coin changer, employee uniforms, documents, and awards of the first metro managers, as well as samples of specialized equipment. For example, a telephone for communications at sensitive sites, a device for localizing explosive ordnance, alarm systems, and much more. Incidentally, the museum's main exhibit is a real, full-size driver's cab. It allowed attendees to experience what it's like to drive an electric train.
