BNTU International Cooperation Faculty student won gorodki 2025
From April 28 to May 5, 2025, the city of Molodechno hosted the CIS Championship in gorodki among amateur athletes (class "B"), dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the celebration of May 9. Gorodki players from 8 countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States took part in the competition. The championship was a platform for a friendly exchange of experience between athletes from Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, and Belarus.
Before the start of the competition, the participants solemnly laid flowers at the memorial complex of the liberators of Molodechno from the Nazi invaders, located in the Victory Park of Molodechno.
On May 2, 2025, in the final competition of amateur athletes, following the results of intense and exciting competitions, the 2025 CIS Champion in gorodki was a 2nd year student from Turkmenistan, Gulzar Atamammedov.
It is noteworthy that last year, on August 2, 2024, a first-year student of BNTU from Equatorial Guinea, Ondo Andeme Antonio Eloy Oburu, became a bronze medalist of the World Championship (https://times.bntu.by/news/15845-student-bntu-iz-ekvatorialnoj-gvinei-prizer-chempionata-mira-po-gor...) in gorodki, which was also held in Molodechno.
The winners and prize-winners of the championship were awarded medals, diplomas and valuable prizes. The CIS Championship in gorodki was a bright event in the sports life of the Commonwealth, strengthening friendly ties between the participating countries.
The official representative of BNTU at the CIS Championship in Molodechno was the deputy head of the department of international marketing of educational services and work with foreign students of the FMS BNTU Sadovsky A.A.
