On May 2, students of the Minsk State Linguistic University received a unique opportunity to adopt the experience and knowledge of a professional as part of the Oriental Lounge project, implemented by the Department of Oriental Languages of MSLU. The guest of honor of the meeting was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbukh.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects for cooperation between countries in the field of education. “For students studying Arabic, there are many opportunities for building a successful career in any of the 22 Arab countries,” said Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbouh during a conversation with students.
The main emphasis was put on the issues of the diplomatic protocol of the Palestinians. Students learned about the basic principles and norms of modern business communication, on which the organization and holding of protocol events is based.
As you know, the most important conditions for successful communication are the appearance, which must comply with the official dress code, as well as the ability to be flexible in various situations. Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbukh introduced the audience to the main features of modern diplomatic practice and international communication during the meeting.
To practice and improve their knowledge of the language, the guest advised MSLU students to listen to music and watch films in a foreign language. Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbuh also spoke about his preferences in the field of cinema, sharing his favorite Russian-language films. Among them are the films "Diamond Arm" and "The Irony of Fate".
At the end of the meeting, Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbukh noted the high level of training of specialists in the MSLU in the field of foreign languages, expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
