Yanka Kupala University welcomes delegates of Russian Biotechnic University
The meeting took place today, February 11, with the primary goal of discussing areas of cooperation between the two universities.
The Russian Biotechnology University (ROSBIOTECH) was represented by Natalia Murina, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Technological Development, and Commercialization; Evgeny Bitus, Professor and International Expert on Work with the EAEU, CIS, SCO, and BRICS Countries; Yulia Tararova, Head of Academic Affairs; Alexey Popovich, Director of the Institute of Industrial Safety and Management at ROSBIOTECH; Svetlana Grineva, Deputy Director of the Institute of Industrial Safety and Management at ROSBIOTECH; Tatyana Korshik, Head of the Department of Customs and Commodity Expertise; Elena Kovaleva, Head of the Department of Business Management and Service Technologies; Ekaterina Volnova, Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioorganic Synthesis; and Victoria Klimanova, Acting Head of the International Affairs Department.
Present at the meeting from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno were Marina Karpitskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management; Svetlana Cheburanova, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Olga Yanchurevich, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology; Liliya Abramchik, Head of the Department of International Law; Elizaveta Uzlova, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology; Marina Kolotsey, Head of the Academic and Methodological Department; Elena Belokoz, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education; Olga Minova, Head of the Department of International Cooperation; and Alesya Belko, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility.
After greeting each other and expressing gratitude to their colleagues from the Russian university for their initiative in establishing cooperation, the parties began discussing prospects for collaboration.
The Russian Biotechnology University proposed collaboration through network and other joint educational programs, including exchange programs for students and faculty, internships, professional retraining and advanced training, guest professorships, the preparation and conduct of joint conferences, seminars, symposia, competitions involving students and university staff, joint research projects, and joint work on articles, patents, and grants.
The parties expressed mutual interest in implementing the proposals received and agreed to pursue them.
This meeting marked an important step in cooperation and will open new opportunities for students and faculty from both universities.
