V Scientific Forum of the Association of Chinese Postgraduates and Scientists in the Republic of Belarus

At a time when the spring wind blows over the green grass and trees, and the earth is full of vitality, the grand opening of the V Scientific Forum of the Association of Chinese Postgraduates and Scientists in the Republic of Belarus took place at BSEU.
On May 16, the Chairman of the Association Zhang Haizhong greeted the guests of the event and introduced the composition of the presidium: the rector of the Belarusian State Economic University Alexei EGOROV, the responsible person of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Jia WEI, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Olga MOROZEVICH, Head of the Educational and coordination of education of foreign citizens of BSEU Elena KOLIADA, as well as authors of scientific papers, Chinese students studying in Belarus, undergraduates, graduate students and visiting scientists.
Currently, 572 Chinese postgraduate students are studying in the Republic of Belarus. The Association of Chinese PhD Students and Scientists in the Republic of Belarus was established in April 2018. This initiative was aimed at increasing the intensity of academic exchange between Chinese and Belarusian graduate students and experts in various fields, developing Chinese-Belarusian relations and in-depth cooperation. And today, Mr. Jia Wei addressed the participants of the scientific forum with a welcoming speech: “First of all, allow me, on behalf of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus, to express our gratitude to the Belarusian State Economic University for its active support in organizing the forum and for the positive contribution to the development of education between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China. I believe that this forum will bring a special academic atmosphere and breathe new life into the educational exchange between our countries. I also believe that your time of study and practice in this beautiful country will definitely be beneficial and will remain an endless experience for a lifetime.” After Mr. Jia Wei, the rector of BSEU Alexei Egorov took the floor to greet the guests: “Dear friends, colleagues! You are all representatives of a large corporation of scientists. Universities have always been academic supports for scientific bases. Not only the development of technology, medicine, but also the political systems of our countries depend on us. The time has passed when we said that learning is the final process of mastering knowledge. Now we understand that in order to be competitive, you need to study all your life. Today we give specialists the skill of research work. I am pleased to host the elite of Chinese society within the walls of our university. I want to wish you success in deepening your knowledge about your future professions.”
At the end of the welcome part, the participants joined the work of groups dedicated to various academic fields, where they presented their reports.
