BNTU representatives visit Tajikistan
As part of the expansion of BNTU presence in the Tajik education market, in mid-May 2025, a BNTU delegation headed by Rector S.V. Kharitonchik visited Tajikistan. The delegation also included Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nikolaychik Y.A. and Head of the Department of International Programs, Exchanges and Protocol Volkova A.R.
On May 13, BNTU representatives visited the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. During a meeting with the Academy’s president Khushvakhtzoda Kobiljon Khushvakht, the parties discussed the prospects for implementing joint Belarusian-Tajik scientific, technical and innovative projects.
The parties exchanged views on existing opportunities and ways of cooperation in various areas of scientific and educational activities. Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience and knowledge, which should contribute to the development of both the scientific sphere and education in both countries.
At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed, which opens up new horizons for joint research and initiatives. This document will form the basis for further partnership between BNTU and the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Taking into account the instructions of President A.G. Lukashenko on the development of science, including university science, we believe that this visit will be a significant milestone in strengthening scientific ties between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan.
On May 14, the BNTU delegation visited the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi, which is a partner university of BNTU.
During the negotiations with the leadership of the named university, issues of further development of interaction, exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects were worked out.
In addition, the BNTU delegation visited the Lu Ban Workshop, where they were able to study the capabilities and technologies used for practical training of students and research. By the way, BNTU also plans to open such a workshop.
