Dr. Mohammed Wisham on visit at Belarusian State Medical University
An important meeting with Dr. Mohammed Wisham, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, was recently held at Belarusian State Medical University. This visit became a significant milestone in the development of international relations and cooperation in the fields of medicine and education.
The University was represented by the following administration staff: Rector, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich; Vice-Rector for International Relations Dmitry Chuikov; Head of the Department of International Relations Varvara Boyko; and Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations Nadezhda Kolyago.
During the meeting, the parties discussed perspective areas of cooperation, with a focus on the training of specialists from the Republic of Maldives. The participants discussed the possibilities of studying for students from the Maldives at BSMU.
The distinguished guest was given a tour around the university, during which he was able to become familiar with the infrastructure and modern educational technologies used at our university. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge, which is highly relevant for further cooperation.
In memory of the visit, Dr. Mohammed Wisham left a note in the Book of Distinguished Guests. In his message, he expressed gratitude for the warm welcome on behalf of the entire Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives and noted the significant contribution of BSMU to the development of healthcare and education. "We look forward to fruitful cooperation between our countries in the future," he added, expressing interest in further interaction and emphasizing the importance of joint efforts.
This visit confirmed the intention of both sides to actively develop cooperation in the fields of education and medicine, which opens new horizons for students and specialists from both countries.
