You are not required to undergo any special vaccination before you come to Belarus. However, if you wish, you can get re-vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B, rabies, typhoid, tetanus, diphtheria and polio.

Foreign citizens have access to healthcare by signing up for compulsory medical insurance, unless otherwise instructed by international agreements signed by the Republic of Belarus.

Medical insurance for foreign nationals covers all healthcare services available in the Republic of Belarus, apart from dental services. Urgent and emergency healthcare services are provided in all state healthcare institutions.

Foreign nationals must have medical insurance covering the whole duration of their stay in Belarus. Cost of medical insurance for foreign nationals depends on the number of days spent in the Republic of Belarus.

Insurance policies issued by foreign insurance companies must be valid on the territory of Belarus for the whole duration of their stay and must cover all conditions set by Belarusian legislation. Insurance must cover at least 5,000 USD.

Nationals of CIS countries as well as holders of Titre de Voyage documents, which are issued to stateless persons and refugees, are not required to have a medical insurance policy.

The Belarusian visa will only be issued to applicants with insurance.
