The educational institution includes
- The Piano and Composer-Musicological Faculty, where specialists are trained in a number of popular musical specialties – “Piano”, “Composition”, “Art criticism (musicology)”. Traditionally, the Piano and Composer-Musicological Faculty leads in the number of students who have become laureates of international performing contests. The faculty is the center of composers’ creativity. The most “high-tech” departments of the Academy of Music are also concentrated here, whose members conduct scientific research in the field of musical art. The youngest and most original of the departments of the faculty is the Department of the History of Music and Belarusian Music Studies, which has no analogues in other institutions of higher musical education. The piano and composer-musicological faculty includes 7 departments:

- The Orchestra Faculty is the largest faculty of the Academy of Music in the number of students, as well as in the number of specialties in which training is conducted. Students of the Orchestra Faculty become concert musicians already during their studies, perform in educational orchestral groups and chamber ensembles of various compositions. The faculty team achieved high results, having trained a galaxy of talented musicians. The orchestra faculty includes 4 departments:
- Department of Stringed Bowed Instruments and Chamber Ensemble
- Department of Wind Instruments and Orchestral Conducting
- Department of Accordion and Accordion
- Department of Stringed Folk Instruments
- The Vocal-Choral Faculty is one of the most sought-after by Belarusian and foreign students. All famous contemporary Belarusian singers, artists and conductors of the choir are graduates of the faculty. The Vocal-Choral Faculty conducts a rich concert, creative and touring activity. Great competitive success has been achieved by the student choir of the Academy, wh ere students of the Department of Choral Conducting sing. The creative spirit in the implementation of vivid stage ideas is distinguished by the work of the Opera Studio. The Vocal-Choral Faculty includes 2 departments:

Key Achievement
- IIn December 2022, the Belarusian State Academy of Music (hereinafter referred to as the Academy) celebrated its 90th anniversary. Founded in 1932, the Academy (until 1992 – the Belarusian State Conservatory named after A.V.Lunacharsky) is a major center of the Belarusian musical performing art, musicology and pedagogy*. In 2000, the Academy was awarded the status of the leading Higher education institution of the national system of education in the field of musical art.
- In 2018, the Academy staff was awarded a special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to artists of culture and art for implementing large-scale projects (Talent Krainy, Dakrananna, Easter Festival) aimed at developing the abilities of talented children and youth.
