The educational institution “Minsk State Linguistic University” (hereinafter - MSLU) is a leader in the field of language education in the Republic of Belarus. Currently, MSLU provides training in 23 foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Czech, Polish, Dutch, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Finnish, Hebrew, Urdu , as well as Russian and Belarusian as foreign languages). The following qualifications are available to students at our university: ·   Linguist. Teacher of two foreign languages (with indication of languages). · Specialist in intercultural communications. Translator-referent (with indication of languages of communication). ·  Linguist. Translator (with indication of languages). MSLU employs highly qualified teaching staff who use modern effective teaching techniques in the educational process (multimedia, heuristic teaching method, adaptive learning, integrative approach to teaching, person-oriented form of teaching). MSLU has modern material and technical base: 5 academic buildings, modern library, Laboratory of Russian Language as a Foreign Language, sports facilities, 4 comfortable dormitories. Students have at their disposal modern equipment for studying foreign languages, including simultaneous translation halls, phonetic laboratories, multifunctional training classes. MSLU is a member of the World Association of Linguistic Universities, a member of the CIS Basic Organization for Languages and Culture, a member of the UN Consortium of Partner Universities, Consortium of Humanitarian Universities of the SCO Member States, International Standing Conference of University Institutes of Translators and Interpreters (CIUTI), Global Alliance of Foreign Studies Universities (GAFSU), International Association of Teachers of  Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL). The UNESCO Chair «Peace and Tolerance through Language Learning and Civic Education» works fruitfully at MSLU. MSLU successfully cooperates with many higher education institutions of the Russian Federation (Moscow State Linguistic University; St. Petersburg State University; Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University; Bryansk State University; Nizhny Novgorod Dobrolyubov State Linguistic University, etc.), The People's Republic of China (Beijing Foreign Studies University; Beijing Language and Culture University; Beijing International Studies University; Jilin Foreign Studies University; Harbin Institute of Technology; Communications University of China, etc.), the Republic of Turkey (Istanbul University, Haci Bayram Veli University Ankara, etc.), the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (University of Languages and International Studies, Hanoi, etc.), the Republic of Tajikistan (Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda; Tajik National University, etc.), the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan University of Languages, etc.), Republic of Zimbabwe (University of Zimbabwe).
