Climate
Belarus has a warm summer, mild winter with frequent thawing periods, and unstable weather in autumn and spring.
Average temperature varies from region to region. In July, temperatures average from +17°C in the north to +18.5°C in the south. In January, average temperatures are from -5°C in the south-west to -8°C in north-east.
Annual precipitation is 600 to 700 mm. 70% of precipitation falls from April to October as rain.
It typically snows in the south-west of Belarus for 75 days per year and for 125 days per year in the north east of the country. Maximum height of the snow cap is 15 to 30 cm respectively.
