Belarusian State Academy of Music develops international cooperation

Head of the Bayan and Accordion Department, PhD in Art History, Associate Professor L.V.Skachko has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the World Accordion Alliance (WAA)!

The Alliance is an international professional organization of musicians, the chairman of which is the famous accordionist, President of the Beijing School of Music and Dance, chief expert on teaching accordion playing at the Central Conservatory, Mr. Jiang Jie (China).

The members of the Alliance are more than 1,000 individual participants from all over the world, including performers, teachers, composers, representatives of factories producing bayans and accordions, etc.

The presidium of the Alliance includes outstanding musicians of our time - professors of the bayan and accordion Department of the Russian Academy of Music.Gnesinykh F.R.Lips and V.A.Semenov.

Joint activities and cooperation with the members of the Alliance will become a driving force in the further development and full popularization of the Belarusian accordion and accordion school not only in China, but also around the world.
