Kupalovtsy met with employees of the Department of Citizenship and Migration

Foreign students of the Faculty of Economics and Management took part in the event with employees of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Leninsky District of Grodno.

On Thursday, January 18, as part of activities to create a conflict-free communication environment and ensure safety, Kupalovtsy participated in a preventive event.

The meeting of foreign students of the Faculty of Economics and Management with employees of the Department of Citizenship and Migration was dedicated to the consideration of issues on the topic “Prevention of offenses and crimes among foreign students.”

Particular attention at the event was paid to the prevention of administrative offenses and criminal offenses. Law enforcement officers told foreign students about the most frequently committed offenses among youth and gave specific examples of administrative and criminal offenses where the defendants were foreign students studying in educational institutions in the city of Grodno.

The speakers also spoke about offenses related to illegal drug trafficking, about the harmful effects of narcotic substances on the human body and noted that such offenses entail administrative and criminal liability in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Belarus “On Administrative Offences”.

It should be noted that the faculties of Kupala University are actively working with students from among foreign citizens, to create favorable conditions for learning and expand knowledge about the legal education of students.
