Mastergeo-2023 and Management of university libraries in BSU

The Belarusian State University hosts several events at once, where everyone from Belarus and the CIS countries is invited.

Thus, on November 2, the Republican scientific and methodological seminar for workers of secondary and higher schools of the Republic of Belarus (with international participation) “Pedagogical workshop MASTER GEO - 2023” starts.

The two-day forum is dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation and is aimed at exchanging practical and theoretical experiences of teachers and scientists from different countries, as well as discussing current problems and prospects for the development of geographical education. The event will be organized in an in-person-remote format. All interested teachers and students of secondary and higher education institutions of a geographical profile in Belarus and the CIS countries are invited to participate. Discussion of the scientists' presentations will take place as part of a round table. A Creative Workshop for Young Geographers will be organized for schoolchildren and students, where children will present their own reports and competitive works in the field of geography. Based on the results of the seminar, a collection of scientific materials will be prepared, which will be published in the BSU E-Library.

The event is organized by the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of BSU.

There will also be a discussion within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Management of University Libraries”. Its organizers are the Fundamental Library of the BSU, the Belarusian Library Association and the Belarusian-Russian University. The forum will be held on November 2–3 in an online-remote format at the site of the Belarusian-Russian University.

The theme of the current scientific meeting is “Creating an information and educational environment for the university.” Its discussion will take place with the participation of more than 100 scientists, experts, managers, specialists from libraries, information centers, publishing houses, and bookselling organizations from Belarus and Russia. The conference program includes educational master classes “Integration of digital content and services of the educational platform “Urayt” into the information and educational environment of the university"; “Comprehensive solutions from ZNANIUM: digital services to support scientific and educational activities”; “Modern publishing EBS BOOK.RU: user tools and services.”

The result of the two-day forum will be the publication of a collection of materials from participants, which will also be posted in the BSU E-Library.
