Burmese delegation visited BNTU

30 September 2025

On September 24, 2025, the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) hosted a delegation from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, led by Brigadier General Ye Zaw Mye, Deputy Head of the Armed Forces Training Department. The delegation also included Colonel Kyew Thu Ra, Head of the Training Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Than Naing Soi, Head of Department of the Defense Forces Academy.

The purpose of the visit was to learn about the educational process and facilities of the BNTU Military Technical Faculty, as well as to hold a briefing on the structure and system of military training in Belarus. Colonel A. Klishevich, Head of the Military Education Department, and Colonel A. Pochebyt, Head of the Military Technical Faculty, presented the Myanmar side with the country's military training system.

The guests were given a tour of the faculty, where they were introduced to the latest weapons and equipment, as well as training simulators used by cadets to practice driving combat vehicles and trucks. During a discussion of current issues in military education, the parties exchanged experiences and proposed new ways to modernize the curriculum.

This visit could indeed be a significant step in strengthening cooperation between BNTU and Myanmar in the field of military training. Establishing such contacts could facilitate the exchange of experience, improve educational programs, and develop joint initiatives in defense and security. It could also open up new opportunities for scientific research and practical development in this area.
