Final of the Belarussian-Russian youth competition «New poets»

Final of the Belarusian-Russian youth competition-festival "New Poets" took place at Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University. This year eight finalists reached the final. They competed in the following categories: interactive game "The word is not a sparrow", contest "Burime" and "Poem on the topic..."

After the competition a meeting with jury and writers from Mogilev branch of the Writers' Union of Belarus was held. During this meeting the participants read their poems to the public.

The results of this festival:

·        3rd place - Anastasia Volkova, Denis Payukov

·        2nd place - Anastasia Tkachenko, Yanina Shurinova, Gennady Melishak

·        1st place   - Timofey Mikhailov, Anna Sotnikova, Ksenia Kosyakova

The winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes. The competition has become an important step towards strengthening cultural ties between Belarus and Russia, and organizers of this competition hope for further development of the festival.
