IX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Aviation: History, Modernity, Development Prospects"

On December 5, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Aviation: History, Modernity, Development Prospects” was held at the Belarusian State Aviation Academy, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy.

In the lobby, guests were greeted by a small exhibition dedicated to the achievements of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, as well as modern technologies and technologies presented within the framework of the “100 Ideas of Belarus” project.  

Then, a plenary session was held in the assembly hall of the main academic building. The opening speech was given by the rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Artem Arturovich Shegidevich : “Science – without it, there will be no progress or development in the country. Today, we are launching our conference. Its name is global. Sections that combine both the humanitarian and technical areas allow young people and seasoned professionals to exchange opinions on achievements .”

At the plenary session of the conference, experts spoke on significant topics. The report "On the strategy for the development of unmanned systems for the period up to 2035" was presented by Yuri Ivanovich Semak , Ph.D., associate professor, leading researcher of the RUE "Scientific and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Complexes" of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.

Kirill Yuryevich Ponomarev , Associate Professor of the Department of Air Traffic Management of the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation named after A.A. Novikov, presented a report on the topic of "Neural systems in air traffic services". Dmitry Igorevich Loboda , Lecturer of the Department of Aviation Security of the Faculty of Transport Technologies of the National Aviation Academy of Azerbaijan, spoke about the developments of the scientific and production center of multifunctional unmanned complexes and the prospects for their development in the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

Boris Borisovich Safoklov , head of the research department of the Moscow Aviation Institute, raised the issue of using an artificial neural network as a tool for predicting the technical condition of rotorcraft units. Then Vadim Dmitrievich Eremov , flight safety engineer and inspector at Belavia Airlines, presented his work on the development and implementation of the Athena automated flight safety management system. The final report was presented by Sergei Dmitrievich Yukhnevich , senior lecturer at the Aircraft and Engine Maintenance Department of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy and a DOSAAF quality engineer. He spoke about the specifics of training specialists in the field of flight and technical maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines.

The final stage of the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Aviation: History, Modernity, Development Prospects" traditionally became the work of sections. The auditoriums hosted presentations with reports on the topics of modern trends in the development of aviation, including new technologies, unmanned systems, air traffic control, professional training and social aspects of the industry's development.
