Chinese students will study at the Winter School of BSU
The winter school for 40 students of the DUT–BSU Joint Institute (DBJI) will be held at the university. The grand opening will take place on 16 January (5 Bobruiskaya Street). It starts at 10.00. The participants of the two-week program will be students of the specialties «engineering mechanics» and «applied physics». Their teachers will be employees of the Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Institute of additional education of BSU.
The school is held in order to strengthen Belarusian-Chinese relations in the field of education and science, exchange experiences between students of the two countries, demonstrate the scientific potential of Belarus, as well as popularize its cultural and historical heritage and industrial complex.
The program includes diverse educational activities in English. Lectures and seminars have been prepared for the audience, as well as numerous excursions for closer acquaintance with domestic enterprises and scientific institutions. In particular, students will listen to lectures on modern problems of physics, mechanics and mathematics. Participants will also be given the opportunity to practice in English and Russian. Skills development will take place in the format of round tables, workshops, presentations and project protection, etc.
In addition, Chinese students will visit the Museum of History of BSU, the Zoological museum and the Museum of Earth Sciences, the Research Institute for Nuclear Problems of BSU, the Institute of Physics and the Physical-technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Great Stone Industrial Park, Open Join Stock Company «Minsk Tractor Works», Holography Industry JSC, the LOTIS laser development company, etc.
The training course will end on 29 January with the presentation of certificates.
