BSU and Emirates Center for Strategic Studies signed memorandum on mutual understanding
The document was certified by BSU rector Andrey Korol and CEO of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies, His Excellency Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi.
The memorandum provides for scientific cooperation between the institutions in the study and comprehensive analysis of the systems of international relations of the two countries, the world economy, geopolitical decisions of foreign and domestic policy, priority areas for the development of various areas of government. In particular, the document provides for cooperation between the Arab side and the Center for International Studies of the Faculty of International Relations (FIR) of BSU. The main forms of cooperation are defined as the exchange of experience and scientific personnel; holding events in the field of innovative technologies; implementation of research and educational projects and joint publication of scientific literature.
During the negotiations, the parties also exchanged information on the activities of the institutions they lead. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of a language internship for BSU students majoring in Arabic at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies. By the way, such interest is caused by the growing popularity of this area among future international relations specialists. Today, 35 students study Arabic at the FIR. In total, over a period of almost 20 years, the number of graduates who studied Arabic as their first foreign language was 79 people.
The signing ceremony took place today, October 30, as part of the official visit of the UAE delegation to the leading Belarusian university.
