Life of Gomel State Technic University
Life of Gomel State Technical University is full of diverse events. Excursions, meetings, sports competitions, round tables, classes of interest - all events are organized at the proper level, taking into account all possible details.
Thus, on November 29, 2024, a meeting was held in a working format with graduate students of the university - citizens of the People's Republic of China, enrolled in graduate school on a full-time basis on a fee-paying basis since November 1, 2024. A total of 11 foreign citizens were enrolled.
Vice-Rector for Research A. A. Boyko and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs G. V. Petrishin announced important aspects in the training of highly qualified researchers and requirements for the upcoming midterm assessments.
Head of the graduate school T. K. Zolotareva explained schedule for the 2024-2025 academic year and presented graduate student certificates to them.
Then, on December 5, a meeting was held at the student dormitory with students who came to Belarus from different parts of the world! Under the sensitive guidance of educational psychologist Irina Mikhailovna Rubanovich, the children discussed not only adaptation to new conditions, but also the importance of observing the rules of cohabitation. The students talked about how difficult it is sometimes to adapt to a new cultural environment, get used to new traditions, language and even food!
“How to create a comfortable environment for everyone?” - this was the main question in the discussion. The children came to the conclusion that cleanliness is not only a matter of comfort, but also of safety. Each of them can make a contribution to maintaining order: from rule observance to joint cleaning.
The next day, the III scientific and technical conference of students, master's students and postgraduates of MITRO2024 “Mechanical Engineering. Innovations. Technologies. Robotics" took place. The conference is organized for the third year in a row by Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor Nevzorova A.B.
The conference program accepted applications from 143 participants from 8 countries (Belarus, Russia, Egypt, Iraq, China, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) from 10 universities and scientific organizations.
The plenary session of the conference was held in the format of a scientific Intellect Tournament. 12 of the most interesting reports were presented. Section meetings were held separately at the Department of Oil and Gas Development and Hydropneumatic Automation. The conference participants presented their first research results in the following areas: technologies of the mechanical engineering and oil industries, innovations in design and modeling, robotics and additive technologies.
The goal of the conference is to involve talented students and young scientists in research and innovation activities, as well as to improve publication literacy and activity, exchange information, experience and achievements in the field of mechanical engineering and technology research - was achieved.
The best authors received diplomas and sweet gifts, and a recommendation for publication in the conference abstract book.
On December 10, foreign students visited one of the largest enterprises in the food industry of Belarus - OJSC "Gomel Meat-Processing Plant". The specialists of the enterprise explained the main stages of sausage production technology. At the end students had a chance to taste some of the yummy products.
