Cooperation in Sports: An Open Dialogue at Polessky State University

From February 28 to March 1, 2026, Polessky State University hosted a delegation of representatives from international diplomatic missions and state bodies of the Republic of Belarus as part of the "At the Foundation of the Future" project.

The visit included the following events:

- a briefing featuring the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus, Ignatius Graham Mudzimba; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus, Santiago Pérez Benítez; the Secretary General of the Association of Chinese Companies, Zhao Qingqiu; the Rector of Polessky State University, Valery Dunai; and the Chairman of the Pinsk City Executive Committee, Valery Rebkovets;

- a friendly minifootball match between the "Osnovanie" (Foundation) sports club (featuring the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus, Ignatius Graham Mudzimba) and the Polessky State University amateur team;

- a friendly minifootball match between the "Osnovanie" sports club and the "DYUSSH-PolesSU" women's football club;

- a friendly ice hockey match between the "Osnovanie" sports club and the Pinsk amateur team;

The visit of representatives from international diplomatic missions and state bodies of the Republic of Belarus was a significant event for Polessky State University, contributing to the strengthening of its positive image within the international community.
