Scientific and practical seminar with graduate students from China

In 2024, 11 young scientists from China entered the graduate school of our university. For a better understanding of the specifics of studying at a Belarusian university, conducting scientific research, its design and preparing dissertations, the first educational scientific and practical seminar was held.

The opening speech was given by the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Boyko A.A., who praised the graduate students for their desire for scientific research, spoke about the interaction of a graduate student with a scientific supervisor and the requirements for the certification of graduate students. He also mentioned the wide support of young scientists at our university and offered assistance in all organizational and scientific issues.

Then the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Sukhoi State Technical University, Ph.D. Martyanov spoke in his digression "Stages of preparation and defense of a candidate's dissertation: the experience of a young scientist 2024", shared his experience on how to speed up the path of conducting research and preparing a dissertation for subsequent examination and defense.

Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Development and Hydropneumatic Automation at P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor A.B. Nevzorova in her message “Methodology of Dissertation Research: Problems and Structure of the Dissertation, Methodological Requirements for its Design and Content” presented a presentation with a Chinese translation and links to regulatory documents of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus, which establish the rules for the certification of highly qualified researchers, spoke about the need to test the scientific results of postgraduate students at conferences and journals of P.O. Sukhoi State Technical University in 2025.

Simultaneous translation into Chinese was carried out using simultaneous translation by an intelligent translator in a smartphone, so the information was accessible and understandable. At the end of the meeting, Chinese postgraduate students expressed gratitude and hope that such meetings will be organized on a regular basis.
