New Year events at Confucius Institute (Kuleshov University)

On December 29, 2025 a festive concert was held in the university's hall as part of the Confucius Institute's New Year's events. Its program included performance of songs and poems in Chinese, Chinese games and dances, performance with nunchucks, as well as demonstration of Chinese clothing models. A distinctive feature of the festive concert - it was prepared by listeners of the Confucius Institute and their lecturers.

During the event the awards from international competitions were presented as well (students took part in them in 2025). The theme of the competition was “Express your gift in words – 99 creative ways to write Chinese hieroglyphs”. The video “Unlimited Pleasure: Chinese Style at Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University”, created by listeners of the Confucius Institute, Yulia Cherkasova and Sergey Spirin, was selected among the best and received the Outstanding Video Production Award. Professor Chang Likun, who supervised this work, received the Outstanding Teaching Award and the Confucius Institute received the Outstanding Participation Award. These awards were presented to the participants by Dmitry Lavrinovich, first vice-rector of the University. The director of the Confucius Institute from the Belarusian side, Lilia Zaitseva, presented certificates and memorable gifts to the participants of the exhibition of calligraphy and painting within the framework of the World Competition "Chinese for Foreigners" in 2025.
