New agreement with China – new opportunities for cooperation
The development of relations with the People's Republic of China is one of the key directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus. The organization of mutual visits and meetings at different levels on a regular basis is the basis for ensuring strategic dialogue. Education is among the priority vectors of Belarusian-Chinese relations.
Within the framework of strengthening cooperation with the People's Republic of China in the educational sphere, the leading medical university of Belarus is expanding the network of partner educational institutions in this country. An agreement on academic and scientific cooperation and exchange between Belarusian State Medical University and Medical University of Inner Mongolia (PRC) was signed recently. The document was signed by the Rector of BSMU, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergey Rubnikovich and the President of Medical University of Inner Mongolia, Professor Zhao Yunshan. The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for International Relations of Belarusian State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vasili Roudenok.
The parties intend to develop cooperation through: exchange of teachers and students, development of online learning (lectures, seminars, trainings and master classes for students and teaching staff), joint scientific and practical conferences, implementation of joint research projects and programs of cooperation in the field of education and medicine, exchange of information, materials and publications on academic, scientific and other issues.
Cooperation with China is developing very dynamically. And based on the study of advanced world experience, mutually enriching, adopting the best educational methods from each other, it is possible to train specialists with international competencies that correspond to the international level.
