Cooperation with UAE

January 16, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohammed Al-Musharrah was on official visit to Belarusian State Technological University.

During the visit BSTU rector Igor Voitov introduced the guest to the new developments in the field of personnel training and universities plans to launch new specialties as well as introduced the most prospective developments for realization with UAE partners and made by BSTU scientists. Igor Voitov asked the Ambassador to help establish partnership ties with UAE institutions of learning.

Ibrahim Salim Mohammed Al-Musharrah noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in education and the fact BSTU trains engineering personnel on rare specialties in UAE or the ones the country can’t offer. Of particular interest is training in specialties as “green’ economy, renewable sources of energy, “green” chemistry, engineering ecology, forestry, afforestation. Cooperation in the field of climate change and ecologically safe technologies bears a solid potential in it.

As a result of the meeting the parties have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of partners search to realize education, scientific-technic and innovative projects.
