Opening of the Confucius Institute of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University: a bridge between cultures

On October 15-16 a long-awaited opening ceremony of the Confucius Institute of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University was held in Mogilev. This event became an important step in strengthening cultural and educational ties between Belarus and China.

The ceremony began with the traditional Belarusian greeting – bread and salt, which symbolized hospitality and friendship. The participants of the event, including representatives of universities, cultural organizations and diplomats, noted the importance of the Confucius Institute for the future of both educational institutions.

Inspiring speeches emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in education, culture and science were delivered during the event. Opportunities for student exchanges as well as the implementation of joint research projects were discussed.

The opening ceremony ended with a colorful cultural performance. Students from different countries sang songs in Russian and Chinese, demonstrating the diversity of cultures and unity in the aspiration for knowledge.

The Confucius Institute will become not only a platform for studying Chinese language and culture, but also a centre for organizing various events aimed at developing intercultural dialogue in the eastern region of the country.
