Youth Forum of the Union State kicks-off

From September 5 to 8, 2025, the Youth Forum of the Union State “The role of youth in preserving and protecting historical memory” was held in Mogilev.

On September 6, the opening ceremony took place at Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University.

The following speakers addressed the Forum participants with welcoming words:

Vadim Ipatov, vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly, vice-Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus;

Denis Duk, rector of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University;

Sergey Klishevish, vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly commission on youth policy, sports and tourism, member of the Parliamentary Assembly commission on science and education, member of the Standing commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on education, culture and science.

After the opening ceremony, the participants continued their work in three sections, two of which took place at Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, and one of them was held at Belarusian-Russian University.

Within the walls of our university young historians from Belarus and Russia discussed the following topics: “Historical heritage of Victory in the Great Patriotic War as a crucuial factor in the patriotic education of youth”, “The Soviet peoples’ contribution to Victory in the Great Patriotic War.”

The forum presented ideas aimed at uniting the efforts of youth from both countries in preserving historical memory and strengthening the Union State.
