BNTU welcomes its first students from Oman
29 January 2025
Following the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman in December 2024, the ties between the countries continued to strengthen and develop. Education is an area that can give additional impetus to bilateral cooperation.
The arrival of a citizen of the Sultanate of Oman was an important step in the development of academic and cultural ties between the Republic of Belarus and the Sultanate of Oman.
Such cooperation not only contributes to strengthening friendly relations between Belarus and Oman, but also creates a platform for further cultural dialogue between the two countries.
Al-Jabria Noor chose our university to study Russian at the preparatory department with subsequent admission to BNTU to study "Geodesy", subject code 1-56 02 01. She shares her impressions of Belarus with interest: "Belarus pleasantly surprised me with friendly people and beautiful architecture. Every day here brings new discoveries, and I enjoy studying local traditions and customs. As for the educational process, I found it very interesting and inspiring. The teachers are open to communication and ready to share their knowledge and experience. In addition, I am glad that the university has created conditions for international communication. This helps not only me, but also other students to better understand different cultures and approaches to learning. I hope that my experience here will become the basis for further cooperation between our countries."
Her sister, who studies in the UK, advised her to apply to BNTU. Her sister recommended Belarus as a safe place with a quality education, noting the accessibility and friendly atmosphere. Nur is glad that she made this choice and continues to immerse herself in learning the Russian language and making new friends.
BNTU continues to recruit students from the Sultanate of Oman. At least 10 students from this country are expected in the current academic year.
BNTU hopes to further develop cooperation with Oman. We strive to open new horizons for students and teachers, creating opportunities for international exchange and cultural interaction. Welcome, Nur! We are glad to see you in our university family!
