First International Forum "Dialogue of the Future"

November 12, the first International Forum "Dialogue of the Future" kicked off in Minsk. The forum gathered more than 300 participants from the Republic of Belarus and the Donetsk People's Republic. Government bodies, businesses, IT, the media, creative industries and young people were invited as guests.

Belarusian State Aviation Academy rector Artem Arturovich Shegidevich took part in the session "Social Mission of Youth". In his report, the rector raised the topics of initiatives and social projects of youth, including cadets of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy. An important topic was also raised concerning the key qualities and skills necessary for modern youth to become active citizens and social leaders, emphasizing that a leader must have critical thinking and communication skills, the ability to quickly adapt and developed emotional intelligence.

The speaker addressed the issue of what initiatives and social projects the state should focus on supporting in order to provide young people with opportunities to realize their potential and integrate into society. Artem Arturovich also spoke about social initiatives the cadets of the BSAA propose and implement.

The forum ended November 13, with a closing ceremony. During the forum, issues related to the development of youth entrepreneurship, intercultural cooperation, economic security, social missions of youth, sports and business, and interaction of the media with youth were discussed.
