BSTU students visited war memorials
On the eve of Independence Day of Belarus, foreign students of the preparatory department of the Belarusian State Technological University took part in laying wreaths at the memorial complexes together with staff and students of BSTU.
The memorial complex "Litavets" is a former village destroyed in January 1943 by the Nazi occupiers along with its inhabitants during the punitive operation "Jakob".
In 1986, a memorial was erected on the site of the disappeared village. The complex contains three bas-reliefs: concrete blocks as a reminder of the former houses of the village, a poetic bas-relief and a composition depicting a family.
The guys visited the partisan camp of the brigade in the Dzerzhinsky region and could feel how the partisans lived and fought in the forests 80 years ago.
