Teachers and students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music take part in a concert of the Belarusian-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra
On October 1, the International Music Day, a rehearsal of the Belarusian-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra is held under the leadership of Yuri Bashmet, People's Artist of the USSR, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation. On October 4, the band will perform in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, on October 5 - in the Great Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. The concert program includes the famous "Polovtsian Dances" from the opera "Prince Igor" by A. Borodin, suite No. 2 from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by S. Prokofiev, a waltz from the opera "The Wild Hunt of King Stach" by V. Soltan, two plays by A. Khachaturian and concerto No. 3 for piano and orchestra by S. Rachmaninov. In Moscow, the famous pianist, laureate of the Tchaikovsky Competition Alexey Melnikov will perform as a soloist, and in Minsk - the soloist of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Elena Naumenko. The concerts of the Belarusian-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra in Moscow and Minsk will be held with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Ministries of Culture of Belarus and Russia.
