Schoolchildren from Syria explore BNTU
BNTU welcomed Syrian children participating in international shifts at the educational institution “National Children's Educational and Health Center “Zubrenok”.
On June 12, 2024, a career guidance event was held at BNTU for 30 schoolchildren and their accompanying persons from the Syrian Arab Republic.
Syrian schoolchildren are excellent students and they have outstanding creative abilities. They arrived in the Republic of Belarus at the invitation of President Lukashenko and are participants in the international Belarusian-Syrian session “From Heart to Heart” at “Zubrenok”.
Specialists from the Faculty of International Cooperation introduced the guests to the BNTU campus, some facts from the history of the university, the faculties, specialties and advantages of studying at BNTU, gave away chocolates and presented BNTU promotional products.
The Syrian children were particularly interested in specialties related to the exact sciences, as well as specialties from the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics.
In addition, the Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages of the Faculty of International Cooperation organized and conducted a master class on basic communication skills for schoolchildren, which developed into a friendly, cheerful dialogue. The children named objects and shapes with interest, identified colors, and repeated entire phrases in Russian. Some of them are already studying Russian at school and it was a huge pleasure for them to demonstrate their knowledge.
